As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and provide a visible presence. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, responding to incidents, and delivering exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using appropriate judgement and communication skills.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report suspicious behavior.
  • Maintain accurate records and write detailed reports of incidents, observations, and activities during the shift.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders as necessary during critical situations.
  • Follow all post orders and instructions specific to the government environment, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
  • Participate in ongoing training related to armed patrol duties and security-related procedures relevant to the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Baton certification is preferred.
  • Handcuffing certification is preferred.
  • Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
