As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Tech Facility in Tacoma, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for patrolling assigned areas by vehicle. You will interact with employees and visitors, providing excellent customer service, while embodying Allied Universal's values of agility, reliability, and integrity through teamwork and a people-first approach.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Document and report any unusual observations, incidents, or maintenance needs encountered during patrols.
  • Collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal team members to support a secure environment within the technology and telecommunications location.
  • Assist with access control procedures and monitor entry points to help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Remain visible and approachable to employees, visitors, and contractors to provide assistance and reinforce security-related presence.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
