As a Security Guard - Healthcare Access Control Driver in Memphis, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor entrances, check credentials, and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents. You will interact with staff, visitors, and patients, providing exceptional customer service and communication while upholding our values of integrity, teamwork, and innovation. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license in the job state.

What You'll Do:

• Monitor and control access to the healthcare location, verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering the premises.
• Provide customer service by assisting visitors, staff, and/or patients with directions and information related to entry procedures.
• Follow site-specific policies and procedures to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility and its perimeter to observe and report any security-related concerns or irregularities.
• Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and/or unusual occurrences according to Allied Universal and client protocols.
• Support emergency response activities as needed, including assisting with evacuations and/or medical emergencies.
• Maintain a professional presence while representing Allied Universal at the healthcare location.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
