Job Description


As a Security Officer - Access Control Desk in Saint Pauls, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer, where you'll monitor and patrol a food and beverage production location. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Control access to the location by verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel, visitors, and vehicles in accordance with site-specific procedures.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other designated areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and vendors with inquiries and directions as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to observe and report any irregularities or security-related concerns.
  • Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and activities as required by Allied Universal and client protocols.
  • Work closely with site management and local law enforcement as needed to address security-related matters.
  • Participate in emergency response activities according to site-specific policies and procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
