Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Healthcare Patrol in Killeen, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will actively monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a visible presence. This is an armed and driving position, where you will interact with staff, patients, and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and/or potential threats.
  • Monitor access points and observe individuals entering and exiting the location to help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Communicate clearly and promptly with Allied Universal management, clients, and/or emergency personnel as required.
  • Document incidents and daily activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client protocols.
  • Remain alert and attentive during all shifts, promptly addressing any security-related concerns or unusual activities at the healthcare location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Level III Armed Certification required for Texas.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
