As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal in a retail location, you will actively patrol assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents and provide a visible presence. This role requires carrying a firearm and driving as part of your daily responsibilities. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and adhering to site-specific policies at the retail location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing armed security-related protocols as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail environment and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and key areas within the retail location to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or disruptive behavior.
• Document observations, incidents, and/or activities in accordance with Allied Universal policies and client requirements.
• Support emergency response activities as needed, following established procedures for armed security-related posts.
• Communicate professionally with retail staff, visitors, and local law enforcement as necessary.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
• Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or an equivalent program.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Hold a Level III armed certification if located in Texas.
• Have 5 or more years of security-related experience.
• Possess a corrections officer license.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
