Job Description


As a Security Officer - Financial Institution Rounds Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a leading financial institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment. Your presence and attention to detail will help to deter security-related incidents while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients at financial institution locations by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or potential threats in and around the premises.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and/or employees while performing patrol duties.
  • Document and report all incidents, suspicious activities, and/or hazards according to Allied Universal protocols.
  • Support access control measures by monitoring entrances and exits during patrols.
  • Assist with emergency response efforts as needed, including guiding individuals to designated areas or providing directions during incidents.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
