As a Security Officer - Healthcare Patrol in Colorado Springs, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver's license. You will be visible throughout the property, assist visitors and staff, and be a key part of a caring team committed to putting people first and upholding our values of reliability, agility, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting staff, visitors, and/or patients as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
  • Observe and report any irregularities, unusual circumstances, or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted behavior and provide reassurance to those in the location.
  • Assist with access control and visitor management in accordance with site-specific protocols.
  • Support Allied Universal management and local law enforcement as needed during emergency situations or investigations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • State, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Guard card or license is preferred.
  • Primarily driving post is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
