What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at retail locations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing armed security-related protocols as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail environment and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help to deter theft, loss, or other unwanted incidents.
• Work closely with store personnel and/or management to address security-related concerns and support a secure shopping experience for staff and customers.
• Document and report incidents, observations, and/or suspicious activity according to Allied Universal and client guidelines.
• Remain alert and prepared to respond to emergencies or incidents, adapting to the dynamic environment of a retail location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 5 or more years of security-related experience.
• Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Hold a Level III armed certification if applying in Texas.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
