Job Description


As a Security Officer - Healthcare Campus Patrol in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence throughout the property. Your role involves monitoring assigned areas, assisting staff and visitors, and providing outstanding customer service. This driving position offers the opportunity to make a positive impact while working with a team that values integrity, teamwork, and a people-first approach.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner within the healthcare environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering the location to help to maintain a secure environment.
  • Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activity, conditions, or hazards to the appropriate personnel.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and staff while representing Allied Universal on site.
  • Document incidents and daily activities according to site protocols and Allied Universal guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
