What You'll Do:

  • Monitor and control access to restricted areas within the chemical or petrochemical location, verifying credentials and authorizations for personnel and visitors.
  • Assist with the implementation and enforcement of site-specific security-related policies and procedures in accordance with Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by addressing inquiries and offering directions as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site management and emergency responders as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Observe and report any unusual or suspicious behavior, security-related hazards, or maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain accurate logs and records of site access, incidents, and security-related activities as required by site protocols.
  • Support emergency response activities, including assisting with evacuations and/or lockdowns when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
