What You'll Do:

• Provide exceptional customer service to clients, guests, and staff by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, taking appropriate action as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help to deter theft, unauthorized access, and/or disturbances.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to employees and customers.
• Document and report any suspicious activities, incidents, or security-related concerns according to established procedures.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders when necessary.
• Adhere to all legal requirements and company protocols regarding the carrying and use of firearms while on duty.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Hold a Level III armed certification if applying in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
