What You'll Do:

  • Provide excellent customer service by following Allied Universal procedures and location-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate de-escalation techniques when necessary.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Maintain a visible presence as an armed security professional to help to deter criminal activity and provide reassurance to staff and visitors.
  • Document and report any suspicious behavior, incidents, or security-related concerns according to company and client protocols.
  • Work collaboratively with location management and Allied Universal team members to address security-related needs and concerns.
  • Remain alert and aware of surroundings at all times while on duty, adapting to changing environments within the retail setting.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Hold a Level III armed certification for Texas.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Handcuffing certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
