Job Description


As a Security Guard - Armed Healthcare Driver in Killeen, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will conduct routine patrols at a healthcare location, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible and approachable. This is an armed and driving position, where your presence will support a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for armed patrol personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or unauthorized access.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter security-related risks and maintain a visible presence.
  • Interact professionally with patients, visitors, and staff to address inquiries, provide directions, and offer assistance as needed.
  • Document observations, incidents, and activities in detailed reports according to Allied Universal guidelines and client requirements.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders when necessary, supporting incident resolution within the healthcare setting.
  • Remain alert and prepared to respond to security-related emergencies, alarms, or unusual situations as they arise.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Level III Armed Certification required for roles in Texas only.
  • Handcuff, pepper spray, and/or baton certification is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
