Job Description


As a Security Guard - Unarmed Patrol Government Facility in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. You will conduct routine patrols, interact with the public, and deliver exceptional customer service while upholding our core values of integrity, teamwork, and reliability. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the designated location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify any potential issues.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns encountered during patrols.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and staff while representing Allied Universal at the location.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports of daily activities, incidents, and/or irregularities observed during patrols.
  • Assist with access control by verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points as required by site procedures.
  • Support emergency response activities and coordinate with local authorities as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by TSA is required.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
