Allied Universal is Currently Hiring a Full Time Armed Security Officer for a State Facility in South Yarmouth MA

Tuesday and Thursday 8 AM - 6 PM

Starting Pay is $23.79 Per Hour / Paid Orientation / Paid Training / Opportunity For Advancement

Candidate is Required to Have a Concealed Carry Permit and 1+ Years of Previous Security Experience

As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will respond to situations as needed, provide exceptional customer service, and communicate clearly with visitors and staff. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the location and perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor for and report any unusual or suspicious activity in accordance with site protocols.
  • Interact professionally with the public, employees, and visitors while maintaining a visible security-related presence.
  • Adhere to all site-specific and legal requirements regarding the carrying and use of firearms while on duty.
  • Assist law enforcement and/or emergency personnel as directed during incidents at the location.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patrols, incidents, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal and the client site.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess a valid concealed carry weapons permit.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
