What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity, with particular attention to the needs of a utilities environment.
• Monitor and report any suspicious activity or security-related hazards within the location.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to personnel and visitors.
• Follow all post orders and directives from Allied Universal management and/or client representatives.
• Support access control measures by checking identification and/or credentials as required for entry to restricted areas.
• Document and report all incidents, observations, and actions taken during patrols and while on post.
• Assist with emergency procedures, including evacuation and/or lockdown, according to site protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid concealed carry weapons permit.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Primarily driving post is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
