Job Description


As a Security Officer - Tech Entry Screener in Concord, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener in a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and assist visitors and employees with professionalism and care. Pay Rate: $15.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by performing security-related screening procedures in accordance with site-specific policies and protocols.
  • Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access to the location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random checks of designated screening areas and perimeter to help to deter prohibited items and/or activities.
  • Communicate professionally with employees, visitors, and/or contractors to address inquiries and provide guidance related to security-related matters.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and/or irregularities as required by site protocols.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to maintain a secure environment, adapting to the dynamic needs of a tech, media, and telecom location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
