As a Security Officer - Juvenile Assessment Center in Tampa, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and promote a secure environment. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to staff and visitors, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for healthcare locations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or security-related incidents.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or security-related breaches within the location.
• Document observations, incidents, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
• Communicate and collaborate with healthcare staff and emergency responders as needed during incidents and/or critical situations.
• Remain alert to potential security-related concerns specific to healthcare environments, including visitor management and patient privacy.

Minimum Requirements:

• A minimum of 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
