As a Security Officer - Armed Dispatch Desk Aero/Defense in Marietta, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As a Dispatch Officer in an aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. This is an armed and driving post where you will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication, all while upholding Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, teamwork, and integrity in a dynamic and innovative environment.

What You'll Do:

  • Monitor and manage incoming and outgoing communications at the dispatch post to maintain awareness of activities throughout the location.
  • Coordinate response activities by relaying information to appropriate personnel in critical and/or emergency situations.
  • Document and report incidents, suspicious activities, and/or security-related concerns according to site-specific protocols.
  • Assist in managing access control by verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized individuals.
  • Provide customer service by addressing inquiries and supporting visitors, employees, and/or contractors as needed.
  • Utilize security-related technology and communication systems to support operational functions at the location.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal team members to help to deter unauthorized activities and maintain a secure environment.
  • Follow site-specific policies, procedures, and instructions provided by Allied Universal and the client.
  • Support regular and/or random patrols by coordinating with patrol officers and maintaining communication during their rounds.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Handcuff, pepper spray, and baton certifications are preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
