What You'll Do:

• Control access to the chemical or petrochemical location by verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized individuals.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and identify potential hazards.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures for the location.
• Monitor and report any security-related irregularities, including property damage, equipment failures, or unauthorized persons within the facility.
• Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and contractors with location-specific policies, directions, and inquiries.
• Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies in accordance with Allied Universal training and client expectations.
• Participate in emergency response activities as needed, following protocols designed for chemical or petrochemical environments.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Applicants who are comfortable using a computer or tablet are preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
