As a Security Officer - Access Control Patrol in Gadsden, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a leading food and beverage location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents. You will remain visible throughout your shift, provide outstanding customer service, and communicate clearly with visitors and team members. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or, when appropriate, emergency response activities within a food and beverage production environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols relevant to the location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
• Observe and report any security-related irregularities, such as property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
• Monitor access points and assist with controlling entry and exit of personnel, visitors, and vehicles in accordance with site requirements.
• Communicate and collaborate with Allied Universal management and client representatives as needed to address site-specific concerns.
• Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and in a timely manner.
• Remain alert and attentive during patrols and while on post, adapting to changing working environments and conditions as required by the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
