Job Description


As a Security Officer - Petrochemical Patrol Driver Unarmed in Baytown, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a strong and approachable presence. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license in the job state is required. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and support a team that values integrity, innovation, and putting people first.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the chemical and petrochemical location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
  • Communicate clearly with Allied Universal management and/or client representatives regarding incidents, observations, and daily activities.
  • Assist visitors and employees with directions, information, and access as permitted by site procedures.
  • Support site access control measures, checking credentials and monitoring entry and exit points as required.
  • Complete detailed written reports and logs of all activities, incidents, and irregularities encountered during the shift.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
