As a Security Officer - Auto Patrol Unit in Normal, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at an automotive location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver's license. You will interact with team members and visitors, deliver excellent customer service, and support a secure environment through teamwork, agility, and integrity, reflecting our caring and people-first culture.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional presence at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including the business premises and perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor the location for any unusual activity and report findings according to Allied Universal protocols.
  • Communicate clearly with clients, visitors, and team members to provide assistance and support as needed.
  • Document incidents and observations accurately in reports as required by site policy.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
