Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Manufacturing Patrol in Ladson, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned manufacturing and industrial locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and provide a reassuring presence. This position requires both armed and driving responsibilities. You will interact with personnel and visitors, deliver outstanding customer service, and uphold our core values of teamwork, integrity, and innovation while contributing to a secure and welcoming environment.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the manufacturing and industrial location, including the business premises and perimeter.
  • Monitor for suspicious activity and assist in helping to deter unauthorized access or behaviors within the facility.
  • Maintain detailed records of activities, observations, and incidents as required by site policies.
  • Collaborate with site staff and/or emergency personnel as needed during incidents or emergencies.
  • Adhere to all company and site-specific protocols related to armed security-related operations in a manufacturing and industrial environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
