As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a retail or mall environment, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will interact with visitors and staff, providing outstanding customer service while maintaining a secure atmosphere. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, respond to emergency situations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or other unwanted activity.
  • Communicate clearly with clients, visitors, and staff to provide assistance and address inquiries as needed.
  • Document and report security-related incidents and/or suspicious activities in accordance with company and site-specific protocols.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services as required during incidents.
  • Support the overall security-related objectives of the location by maintaining a visible presence and being attentive to the environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Having a valid guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
