What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate communication and escalation protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall location, including both the interior and the perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas, maintaining a visible security-related presence to help to deter unwanted behavior.
  • Interact professionally with visitors, tenants, and staff, addressing questions or concerns and providing assistance as needed.
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings at all times, reporting any suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Carry and maintain control of authorized firearms in accordance with Allied Universal policies and all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Complete daily activity reports and incident documentation accurately and promptly as required by Allied Universal and site management.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a Level III armed certification for roles in Texas only.
  • An armed guard card or armed guard license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
