As a Security Guard - Mall Patrol Driver in Irvine, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will patrol retail and mall locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a welcoming presence for visitors and tenants. This is a driving post, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible throughout the property, and deliver outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and tenants by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies at the retail or mall location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure environment for all occupants.
• Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter potential issues and provide assistance as needed.
• Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency services as requested and/or required by site procedures.
• Follow all instructions and guidelines provided by Allied Universal and the client to support a secure and welcoming environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Primarily driving post is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• The ability to operate a Segway or T3 is preferred.
• The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
