Job Description


As a Security Guard - Armed Hospital Patrol Driver in Killeen, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. This role is both armed and driving, requiring you to respond promptly to incidents while delivering exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at a healthcare location, including responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism throughout.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entry points and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Interact with staff, patients, and visitors to offer assistance and information as needed while maintaining a security-related presence.
  • Report and document security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal procedures and client requirements.
  • Assist with emergency response activities, including evacuations and/or lockdowns, as directed by site protocols.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare staff and local law enforcement when required to address security-related situations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Level III Armed Certification required for roles in Texas only.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
