What You'll Do:

  • Monitor and control access to the chemical or petrochemical facility, verifying credentials and permissions for entry and exit.
  • Assist with visitor management procedures, including logging visitors and issuing temporary identification as required by site-specific protocols.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activity or potential hazards in and around the premises to help to deter unauthorized access and/or incidents.
  • Perform regular and random patrols of the facility and its perimeter to support security-related procedures and site policies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response activities.
  • Communicate professionally with employees, contractors, and visitors, providing customer service and information as needed.
  • Document and maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and irregularities in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
