As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within an educational location, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a welcoming presence. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to support a secure environment, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. This is a driving post. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus and surrounding areas to help to deter unwanted activity and provide a visible Allied Universal presence.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to assist with controlling access to the location.
  • Report and document observations, incidents, and/or suspicious activity according to site protocols.
  • Assist students, staff, and visitors with directions and general information as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with campus staff and local authorities when required.
  • Remain alert to security-related concerns throughout the location and communicate any issues promptly.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
