Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Healthcare Patrol Team in Georgetown, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Your presence will be highly visible, and you will deliver exceptional customer service while responding to incidents as needed. This armed position is ideal for professionals who value teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate escalation and communication protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious activity.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of security-related activities, incidents, and observations as required by site procedures.
  • Interact professionally with patients, visitors, and staff, providing assistance and information as needed while upholding Allied Universal standards.
  • Support emergency response efforts, including evacuations and lockdowns, in accordance with established procedures for healthcare environments.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
