What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the assigned government property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other critical areas to observe for unusual or suspicious activity and report as necessary.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of patrols, incidents, and any security-related observations in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services when appropriate, providing information and support as needed.
  • Operate and carry a firearm in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Allied Universal policies, maintaining proper licensing and training.
  • Remain alert and prepared to respond to emergencies or security-related incidents throughout the duration of the shift.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • At least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.
  • A valid armed guard card or license is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
