As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents and provide a reassuring presence to staff, patients, and visitors. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, responding to situations as needed, and offering outstanding customer service, all while upholding our values of teamwork, reliability, and integrity in a caring environment.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with security-related concerns as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and maintain a visible Allied Universal presence.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist visitors, patients, and staff with directions and general inquiries, maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.
  • Support access control measures by monitoring entrances and exits, helping to manage authorized access to restricted areas as required.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders as directed during incidents or drills.
  • Complete daily activity logs, incident reports, and other documentation as required by Allied Universal and the location's protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Vaccinations as required by the hospital are mandatory.
  • Ability to work in areas such as a hospital morgue is required.
  • Ability to safely restrain individuals in a hospital setting is required.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
