As a Security Officer - Access Control Specialist in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing exceptional customer service. You will conduct routine patrols and remain visible, contributing to a secure environment for everyone on site. This is a driving post. What You'll Do:

• Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and managing entry and exit of personnel, visitors, and vehicles in accordance with site-specific policies.
• Provide customer service by assisting individuals with questions related to access procedures and site regulations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify any unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents and security-related situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Document observations, incidents, and security-related activities as required by site and Allied Universal procedures.
• Support emergency response activities as directed by site-specific guidelines.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Must have 1 or more years of law enforcement experience or 2 or more years of security supervisor or manager experience or 3 or more years of security-related experience.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
