Now Seeking a Security Professional to work as a Premier Site in Savannah, GA!

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of verifiable experience in Law Enforcement, Military, Corrections, or Security is required
  • Pay Rate $28.00 / hour

Summary: 

The security role as a Custom Protection Officer involves serving as the primary point of contact at a main gate while ensuring strict access control and security enforcement. Key responsibilities include managing the ingress and egress of all personnel, visitors, and vehicles using electronic systems, ID verification, and thorough inspections to prevent unauthorized access. The individual must maintain a professional and highly visible presence, greeting all traffic with courtesy, providing clear information, and calmly addressing inquiries or conflicts. The position also requires active monitoring of surveillance equipment and, prompt response to incidents and emergencies by following established protocols and coordinating with relevant services, and meticulous documentation of all activities and occurrences through detailed reports and logs.

Access Control and Verification: 

  • Manage and regulate all ingress and egress of personnel, visitors, and vehicles at the main gate. Utilize electronic access control systems, visitor management logs, and rigorous identification verification procedures to prevent unauthorized access to restricted areas.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles and personal belongings in strict adherence to site-specific security protocols.
  • Professional Engagement and "White Glove" Customer Service
  • Serve as the primary point of contact, delivering a professional first impression to all incoming and outgoing traffic with a high degree of courtesy and professionalism.
  • Provide clear, polite directions and information to visitors, staff, and contractors.
  • Address inquiries and concerns calmly, respectfully, and with a problem-solving approach, effectively de-escalating potential conflicts while consistently enforcing site regulations.
  • Maintain a highly visible and professional presence at the gatehouse and surrounding perimeter to actively deter unwanted activities and ensure a secure environment.
  • Monitor surveillance equipment, including Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) and alarms, and conduct regular foot patrols around the main entrance to observe and report any irregularities, hazards, or suspicious activity.

Incident and Emergency Response: 

  • Respond promptly and calmly to alarms, security incidents, and critical situations (e.g., medical emergencies, security breaches, disorderly conduct, fire incidents) in accordance with established emergency response protocols.
  • Coordinate effectively with site management, the security team, local law enforcement, and emergency services during incidents, leveraging prior training for effective communication and action.

 

Policy Enforcement and Administration:

 

Strictly and consistently enforce all company and site-specific rules and regulations in a fair and impartial manner. Manage and control key access logs, vehicle movement logs, and other essential administrative tasks required for secure operations.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A minimum of three (2) years of verifiable experience in a law enforcement capacity (Police Officer, Sheriff's Deputy, Military/ Military Police, or Corrections Officer) is required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid state/local security guard license/card.
  • Physical capacity to stand and walk for extended periods, and lift up to 50bs
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
