Job Description


As a Security Professional - Armed Driver Patrol Day Shifts in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal at a retail location, you will conduct regular patrols to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. This is an armed and driving position, where you will remain visible, respond promptly to incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, while maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and to observe and report any irregularities.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or other unwanted behavior.
  • Communicate clearly and promptly with Allied Universal management, local law enforcement, and/or emergency responders as necessary.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter potential issues and provide reassurance to staff and customers.
  • Document all incidents, observations, and activities in a timely and accurate manner following Allied Universal protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
