What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors at the retail location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training and sound judgment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail environment and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and maintain a secure atmosphere.
  • Monitor for potential security-related concerns and report observations in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
  • Interact professionally with store personnel, shoppers, and visitors while upholding Allied Universal standards.
  • Assist with access control and/or verification of credentials as required by site-specific guidelines.
  • Support emergency response efforts, including coordination with local authorities and Allied Universal management when necessary.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of activities, incidents, and/or irregularities observed during patrols and shifts.
  • Follow all company protocols and site-specific instructions to help to deter theft, vandalism, and other unwanted activity.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Level III armed certification for Texas is required.
  • At least 5 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
