What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Monitor and control access to the facility, verifying identification and credentials for all persons entering and/or exiting the premises.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for healthcare environments.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities as required by site policies.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff and local authorities as needed to address security-related concerns and support a secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Remain alert and observant to potential hazards and/or unusual conditions, promptly communicating any concerns to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet. This is preferred.
  • Pepper spray certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • CPR and or first aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
