Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Telecom Patrol in Fremont, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a leading tech location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. Your role involves interacting with staff and visitors, providing outstanding customer service, and responding promptly to security-related situations. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity, with particular attention to sensitive or restricted areas common in technology environments.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering and exiting the location to help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Document and report any unusual observations, incidents, or security-related concerns in accordance with Allied Universal policies and client expectations.
  • Collaborate with site personnel and law enforcement as needed to address security-related matters and support a secure environment.
  • Remain alert and prepared to respond to potential threats or emergencies, utilizing de-escalation techniques and appropriate use of force when necessary.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess a valid Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
  • Have at least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a valid California weapons permit with 9mm caliber endorsement.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
