Job Description


As a Security Officer - Campus Bike Patrol Full-Time in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents and provide a welcoming presence. You will conduct routine patrols, interact with students, staff, and visitors, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $17.30 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter inappropriate activity and/or unauthorized access. Working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Observe and report any unusual occurrences or incidents to appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or site management.
  • Assist visitors, students, and staff by providing directions and general information as needed.
  • Support access control procedures by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and maintaining a visible presence throughout the location.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services as directed during incidents or emergencies.
  • Complete required reports and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
