What You'll Do:

• Provide outstanding customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, assisting with security-related needs at the location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors.
• Observe and report any unusual activities or incidents to the appropriate personnel, maintaining clear and concise documentation as required.
• Collaborate with campus staff and/or local law enforcement when necessary to address security-related concerns.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, exits, and other designated areas to help to deter unauthorized entry.
• Remain alert and attentive to surroundings, adapting to changing conditions and requirements at the educational location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
