Job Description


As a Security Officer - Real Estate Patrol Driver in Santa Ana, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing excellent customer service. This is a driving post, so you will operate a vehicle as part of your patrol duties. You will interact with tenants, visitors, and staff, supporting a welcoming environment that reflects our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergencies as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the commercial real estate location, including the business premises and perimeter, to help to deter unwanted activity and provide a visible Allied Universal presence.
  • Observe and report any unusual activities or incidents to the appropriate personnel according to established protocols.
  • Assist visitors, tenants, and staff with inquiries and directions, while maintaining a courteous and professional demeanor.
  • Collaborate with property management and/or law enforcement as needed for incidents or emergencies at the location.
  • Maintain accurate records and logs of patrols, incidents, and any security-related activities as required by the site protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • This is primarily a driving post and is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
