As a Security Officer - Armed Campus Patrol Driver in North Hollywood, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol educational locations to help deter security-related incidents and provide peace of mind for students, staff, and visitors. This role requires both armed and driving responsibilities. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by performing security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, as well as responding appropriately to emergencies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations on campus in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the educational facility and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Collaborate with campus staff and local law enforcement as needed to address incidents and maintain a secure environment.
  • Complete detailed reports and documentation of all security-related activities, incidents, and observations.
  • Remain visible and approachable to students, faculty, and visitors, offering assistance and guidance as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Applicants must have three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
