Job Description


As a Security Officer - Clinic Unarmed Patrol in Fairfax, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence throughout the facility. Your role involves engaging with staff and visitors, providing exceptional customer service, and supporting a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for healthcare environments.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Observe and report any irregularities, such as property damage, unusual occurrences, or unauthorized persons within the healthcare location.
  • Assist with emergency response activities, including guiding individuals to appropriate areas and supporting Allied Universal and client staff as needed.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs of activities, incidents, and/or observations as required by site procedures.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, staff, patients, and visitors to provide assistance and relay important information.
  • Follow all Allied Universal and client policies and procedures specific to the healthcare environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Handcuff, pepper spray, and/or baton skills are preferred.
  • CPR and/or first aid certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
