Job Description


As a Security Officer - Building Patrol in Montgomery, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol commercial real estate locations, helping to deter security-related incidents through regular patrols and a strong presence. You will engage with visitors and tenants, providing outstanding customer service and support. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the commercial real estate location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives.
  • Document all incidents and activities in accordance with Allied Universal policies and site-specific requirements.
  • Assist visitors, tenants, and staff with directions and general information while maintaining a visible and approachable presence.
  • Follow all instructions and guidelines provided during site-specific training for the commercial real estate environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
