What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure atmosphere for staff, patients, and visitors.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain order within the location.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff and local law enforcement as needed to address security-related concerns and incidents.
  • Document all incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal policies and client requirements.
  • Remain alert and attentive to surroundings, looking for potential security-related issues or hazards throughout the facility.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a New Jersey RPO certificate.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
