Job Description


As a Security Officer - Defense Sector Patrol Driver in East Saint Louis, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at an aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, help to deter security-related incidents, and provide a visible presence. This is a driving post, requiring vehicle operation as part of your patrol. You will interact with employees and visitors, deliver outstanding customer service, and communicate clearly while representing Allied Universal’s values of integrity, innovation, and putting people first.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the aerospace and defense facility, including both the interior and perimeter of the location, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or access.
  • Monitor for unusual activity or conditions within the facility and promptly report findings according to established protocols.
  • Support access control measures by verifying credentials and monitoring entry points as required by site procedures.
  • Document observations and incidents clearly and accurately in daily activity reports and/or incident reports.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to address concerns and provide a secure environment for staff and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least one year of experience in armed security, law enforcement, or military roles is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
