A great opportunity for a retired engineer who wants steady work without the stress of a traditional engineering job. This role focuses on monitoring equipment, solving problems, and supporting a safe environment. The pay rate is $24.50 / hr (non-negotiable) with an immediate start available.

Third Grade Engineer License – City of Omaha (Boiler Certification)
3–5 years of related work experience.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
Customer service experience.
Able to lift up to 20 lbs when needed.

Full-Time
Afternoon/Evening Shift: 3 PM – 11 PM
Workdays: Monday through Friday
Category: Security Officer Level
Watch boilers, temperatures, pressures, pumps, fans, and air handlers.
Keep systems running safely and smoothly.
Contact the on-call Facilities Manager when an issue appears.
Make minor repairs yourself or use FaceTime for guided support.
If needed, the manager will call in a vendor to complete repairs.
Follow all safety and site-specific procedures.
Stay calm and solution-focused when responding to incidents.
Perform routine and random patrols around the building and perimeter.
Preventing downtime keeps the facility running safely.
Quick response reduces equipment damage and improves reliability.
Strong customer service builds trust with clients and maintains a safe environment.
