As a Security Officer - Healthcare Campus Rounds in Syracuse, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a healthcare location, remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, provide exceptional customer service, and offer clear communication to those you encounter. This is a driving post, requiring you to operate a vehicle as part of your patrol duties, while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies in a healthcare environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for healthcare locations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the medical facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to assist in maintaining a secure environment for all individuals on site.
• Support emergency response activities as directed, including assisting with evacuations, medical emergencies, and/or disturbances.
• Document observations, incidents, and actions taken during patrols and report relevant information to Allied Universal management and site leadership.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter disruptive behavior and provide reassurance to those within the healthcare location.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• A New York State Security Guard License is required.
• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
